Michael Bohinc, CPA - Michael Bohinc is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant in Cleveland, Ohio and the owner of Keeping Score, Inc.  Keeping Score is an accounting, tax and business advisory services firm that Michael started to help small business owners improve their profitability and business operations.  He is also a Consult & Coach Partner for the Service Roundtable as well as a Service Nation Alliance Advisor, a leading industry business association.  Michael has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Norhio Plumbing, Inc., his family’s plumbing company in Aurora, Ohio for over 20 years.

    Michael is an associate member of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors (PHCC) Association of Ohio as well as the Air Conditioning Contractors of Ohio. He is also an instructor for the PHCC - National Association Education Foundation. 


    Michael graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S.B.A. degree in accounting in 1985.  After graduation, he worked for two years in the tax and financial planning department of Arthur Young & Company in downtown Cleveland.  He worked with numerous Cleveland executives on their personal financial plans and tax returns.   In 1988, he went to work in the family’s plumbing business (Norhio Plumbing).  Michael has helped create, develop and implement many current business and marketing programs being utilized by Norhio Plumbing and other businesses.  He also helped automate (computerize) the company’s accounting and customer service systems.  Michael also was the majority owner of Eco-Aire Systems, a HVAC-service company from its start-up in 1994 until he sold his stake in the company in 2000.

Michael has presented his “Keeping Score” business and financial management seminars to many industry groups including: PHCC - NA Educational Foundation, PHCC of Ohio, PHCC of Northeastern Ohio, PHCC of Eastern Ohio, PHCC of Akron, Cincinnati Master Plumbers Association, Akron ACCA, NE Ohio ACCA, Comfortech and Greater Cleveland Master Plumbers’ League and the “Managing for Profits” business program for the PHCC of Ohio.  Michael is a featured instructor for the PHCC National Educational Foundation. He has presented training classes to assist contractors preparing to take the business section of the OCILB licensing exam.  He has also worked one-on-one with contractors preparing to take the business section of the OCILB licensing exam.  He has worked with contractors across North America teaching them to properly calculating their break even costs and selling price.  He has assisted business owners improve accounting practices and the management of their service operations. Michael writes a regular column called “Keeping Score” for the Ohio PHC Magazine. He has also had articles published in Plumbing & Mechanical Magazine, Contracting Business and the e-PHC Profit Report.
